What is a read-a-thon you ask?

It's a 10-hour play reading marathon. Think of it as a walk-a-thon, but without the blisters. You can spend a whole day reading or listening to new plays by local Atlanta playwright's including Evan Guilford-Blake, John Drago, Hank Kimmell, Topher Payne and Markie Shalloe and several more..

How do I become reader?

Just email us at theprocesstheatreco@yahoo.com and put New Play Read-A-Thon in the subject line to get your pledge form. Once you have raised the $25 minimum, you will email us to let us know and you're all signed up. Of course don't stop there remember the reader who raises the most money wins our 1st prize package. But that’s not all we are also giving a 2nd prize package away that all the readers have a chance to win. For every $25 you raise we will put your name in a hat for a chance to win our second prize package. The prize packages includes gift certificates to local businesses and theatres throught out the metro area.

Do I have to be available the whole day?

No, you don’t have to available for the whole day. You just have to be available for a 4 hour time slot during the day to come and read.

What if I just want to listen?

Admission is just a $5 donation to be audience member for the whole day. Your donation will also put your name in a hat for a chance to win our 3rd Prize Package which will be given away at the end of the day.
